Truth be told, my wife cooks some fantastic meals. If I photograph every one of them it would fill a blog in of itself. Even though I only photograph a portion of the meals she prepares, there are still many photos. Good thing that I host our photos on flickr!

What do you do when it’s cold outside, and you happen to live in Asia? You make a ripping hot spicy hotpot dish – that’s what you do! Just look at that jar of chili sauce!

For those of you with no plans for December 31st, why not drop by Shao-hui’s in the afternoon? We’re going to light the grill and open the Sang Som Royal Thai rum and have at it. Later we’ll be headed down to the disco where the Fong Band will make an appearance. If anyone is still able to walk, in the wee hours of the morning we will make our way over to Hsinchu to an after hours club that has all the known songs in the world available for karaoke! If you need directions, leave a comment and I’ll respond by email.
Once you get to Shao-hui’s you don’t have to worry about driving because we will arrange the transportation. You can relax and drink responsibly (or irresponsibly!)
Be sure to check out our Events Page from time to time to find out what’s going on!

Anyone else besides me getting tired of having to recreate my feed at http://www.taiwanfeed.com? It seems that my feed disappears every couple of months (if it lasts that long) and I have to set it up again.

December 23 is upon us. Recently, friends in New Hampshire have been informing me of mounting snowfalls in New England. The weather is turning colder in Taiwan. What can you do about it?
Party, of course!

The usual gang of suspects gathered once again, at our favorite hangout – Shao-hui’s.

As soon as I started hosting the blog on the new domain I was besieged by spam comments. Akismet for WordPress blogs helps to control this problem. But I also use Bannage, and by banning the IP of offending posters, I have experienced a dramatic drop in spam comments. Even though I get the hits, I don’t see the spam. It’s refreshing! For the convenience of other bloggers I will list my banned IPs here. I recommend sharing this kind of information among the blogging community.
