UPDATE:
Thanks to Silas Partners, the Flickr Photo Gallery plug-in is updated! Be sure to install version 0.95.
Now, speaking of upgrading, there are some recommendations that we have for you:
First, install the newest version of the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plug-in in your current WordPress installation and activate it. This plug-in is fantastic and will upgrade your WordPress installation painlessly. The newest version of the plug-in will handle the upgrade to WP 2.5 and will even update the database and clean up the install files when finished. So, go ahead and upgrade!
Please note that 2.5 looks quite a bit different and some of the plug-ins look different as a result. The Flick Photo Album plug-in now has a small Flickr icon at the top right of the compose window, as opposed to the expandable option below the compose window as before. But you will like how it functions - much better than the older version.
I am finding a few plug-in problems with 2.5 as this was a major revision to WordPress. For the most part, nearly everything works.

We’ve upgraded our WP engine to version 2.5 and discovered that a few plug-ins don’t work. We depend upon these particular plug-ins, so if you haven’t upgraded to 2.5 yet, maybe this information will help you.
This is one of those plug-ins that you just wish WordPress would incorporate into itself. I need this plug-in to manage all the comments that we get (which are considerable). I’m going to have to reply to comments the old fashioned way but don’t let it throw you off.
This is another one of those plug-ins that I can’t live without, because this is a photo blog. I host my photos on Flickr.com and this plug-in is essential for adding photos to articles. One can also cache flickr photos on their server and display thumbnails on a blog page. Very useful and once dependent upon the plug-in, going back is not an option!
Recently, Mark went to the US to take care of some business. While he was there, he blogged on the size of fountain drinks at a gas station on the way to Boston. Mark says:
I’ve been living abroad for a while, and it’s given me a slightly different view of stuff at home than I’d have if I’d stayed…. I’m used to the large size [drink] being 22oz or something like that. Even drinking the second biggest size drink I saw at the gas station left me feeling like I’d just put my pancreas through a strainer. I mean… who drinks half a gallon of soda in one serving? Seriously…
I talked about that article with my friend Mike back in New England and he told me about some giant sized portions at some local restaurants. Mike got some shots and the story behind these monster dishes for us. Are you ready for this?

Hui-chen and I took a little sight-seeing trip to Wulai after our return from China recently. If you haven’t been there in awhile, you should take a visit and see for yourself, what a lovely place Wulai really is.

Besides the famous waterfall, Wulai is known for these emerald green waters (and wires!). These photos are un-processed and the colors are just how the Nikon D80 photographed them.
Hui-chen and I were in Kaohsiung very recently, where we learned that the new KRT is open now. The entire Red Line is operational, and the best part is - this month it’s totally free!

Foreword: I’m trying to get back to writing again as soon as possible. I would like to thank all our readers for their encouragement while I drive past this little bump on the shoulder. Things could have been a lot worse but are in fact, nearly back to normal. So, I’m pleased to present my first article since then:
March 21 UPDATE BELOW:
There are much easier ways to do it. This was the method that was thrust upon me. I had no choice in the matter.
Wednesday evening my wife found me standing outside the restroom, staring at the sink. Apparently I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the water for my shower. When asked, I couldn’t tell her what the problem was or even how long I had been standing there. We estimate approximately 45 minutes of me staring at the sink.
Then things got bad.

Lately I’ve been looking to expand my horizons. I’m getting bored with the same thing, musically speaking. Since my 1958 Epiphone has been unavailable, all I have been using for the past few years is a Fender Stratocaster that’s been highly modified. I don’t really like the Strat and I’ve grown tired of it.
I wanted to get a guitar that wasn’t just the same old stuff made pretty. There are a ton of absolutely gorgeous guitars that are basically all the same as far as capability goes. They are mostly based on Fender or Gibson designs, and rather limited. So, the choice was clear for me. I had to get a Red Special.
