My Friend Mr. Lee

In this blog you will find articles about Lee (and also Paul), friends of mine in Taoyuan with whom I like to party.

My Friend Mr. Lee and Hui-chen

That’s Mr. Lee on the left, singing karaoke with Hui-chen.  I got some bad news today: Mr. Lee suffered a heart attack and he didn’t make it.   I used to enjoy singing and drinking with Mr. Lee, who was known for his excellent English skills and his love for singing English songs, often in harmony with me.  Mr. Lee, you will be missed.

  2. MJ, Always sad to heard when a friend passes on from this life , but you had many great times ,singing and sharing life experiences with him , I’m sure you will miss him , but you have fond memories. I have had two heart attacks an a triple by-pass as a result of not taking care of my health and letting my colestrol get out of hand , self maintaince is the best preventive medicine I can prescribe for all of us . Heart attacks can be prevented, but it takes thought and persistance on our part. My Mr. Lee rest in peace.

    1. thanks for your heartfelt words Malcolm. with your medical background you can relate to what happened. i’m going to talk with our friend Paul about giving up smoking now.

  3. Sad news, I want to offer my condolences, too. I think someone’s death leaving a hole in the hearts of their friends – that’s a sign of a life well lived.

  4. MJ, sorry to hear Mr Lee has passed away. I have read many posts where you two have enjoyed an evening of karaoke and of course drinks.

The last one I read a little while ago was the really drunk lady trying to interupt you guys singing. She was a mess.

It is good to have all those good memories of the man. Rest in peace Mr Lee and again my condolences to you and Hui Chen.

    1. thanks Brunty. yes, Mr. Lee could be considered a “drinking buddy” but he was more than that of course. i’m going back to the old neighborhood now and it’s just not going to seem right without him there.

  5. MJ & Hui Chen,

Friends are the flowers of life!

I’m so happy you had a good buddy like Mr. Lee for the brief moment you did!

Keep on having your wonderful gatherings and watering that garden of life!

    My most heartfelt condolences…
