Baby Phoenix is now 9 months old.  She prefers standing up to crawling, and she has said her first actual word: “bye-bye” while waving goodbye to me.  In the meantime, Phoenix has continued to be a source of cute and funny photographs.  I’d like to show some of them to you, just for fun.  Some of my favorites were taken when she sat on my lap in front of the computer and I took a few snaps with some funny overlays.  Here are the photos:

Phoenix’s personality is developing rapidly and it comes out in various things she does to be funny.  This is a portable crib we use when we visit our family.  Phoenix seems to know that her face looks funny when she presses it up against the mesh sides.  What’s even more interesting is that she holds the poses until I take a photograph before moving on the next pose.

This last shot is her playing around with one of her baby spoons.  This kid is a character already!

We leave you with this video of her “walking”:

    1. hi Jim. she is a very happy child. she’s just recently learned how to wave at people, and today we were at the mall and she was waving to everyone! it was very cute 🙂 Phoenix loves anything with a display, and she loves to play with tablets and mobile phones, especially! thanks Jim and take care.

  1. The new center of your life, isn’t she? Seeing these pictures makes me miss my daughter (mommy and her are in Taiwan already, my vacation hasn’t started yet.)

Tablets are great toys – I think most of the apps on mine are child-related by now. 😉

    1. hi Stefan. yes, i’m surprised at how much i use my tablet. i have all of my books installed, and i spend at least an hour per day reading on it. hope you are able to rejoin your family soon! take care Stefan.

        1. hi Stefan. thanks for the info; i’ll show it to HC. we have a gig coming up this Saturday the 24th at Titty Tea. it’s been over a year since we last played there, so this will be fun! take care and thanks.

          1. That’s cool! I’ll check with my wife, maybe we can actually make it. I’m flying to Taiwan today. (Not solely for your gig, admittedly, but hey – I’m a fan.)

          2. Stefan, i’ll send you an email. that’s great news. we sure hope you can make it there. Titty Tea is a nice place to play and hang out. take care.

          1. Not me, I am tooooo old. Mommie-to-be and I were baby clothes shopping yesterday on a neighboring island. Since Daddy-to-be does not want to know gender yet, all the gender-telling clothes are at our place. I am enjoying all of this as the other grandkids are 20 and 24.

My smartphone is full of kid apps, downloaded by my kid. She got into my wife’s Facebook and changed the cover photo to a pic of herself.

Nine months? That means you’ve probably got about two more months of relaxation, Bushman. Then the walking starts.

    1. hi Patrick. i have some kid apps on my tablet but Phoenix is still too young to use them. when she sees the tablet, she often seems more interested in looking at the back, than the front. she doesn’t yet understand how it all works. if you call this time “relaxation” then i’m dreading to know what it’s like after walking! she stands all the time and is exploring “cruising” at this point. so it won’t be long and she’ll be taking her first steps. thanks Patrick and take care.
