This is my latest video. Many of you may recall my article on the 921 Earthquake Memorial Park in Mingjian, Nantou. Hui-chen and I went back and this time, I had my video camera with me. I shot a walk-through of the park so you can get the feel of what it’s like to get up close and personal with the Tilting Electric Tower. I hope you enjoy this video. andres » thanks. i know i suck at using the Glidecam, and the thing is a bit too light. i’m going to weigh it down some and try some more walkaround videos. the Mingjian park is really something to see in person. the tilting tower is quite unnerving.

The same builder got permissions to build a residential complex nearby.

Mitesh Damania » i believe this is an attempt at humor. if so, the attempt failed miserably. the reason is that earthquakes are not funny, and thousands lost their lives in this particular one. 921 was a wake-up call and inspections and building specifications were improved as a result. since that time many newer buildings have shown that the improvement has paid off.
