I went up to the roof to check things out after a few days of heavy rains and found that the air was unusually clear, with an interesting cloud cover.
Today was the second time that I saw new mountains that I’d never seen before, but were always there of course, obscured by mist or dust in the air.
I love how the mountains look in Taiwan. There is a definite 3D effect going on. Check out the cloud cover too:
This evening, the clouds vanished and the sky is clear like I’ve never seen it before. There are stars I haven’t previously seen. Today was a good day!
MJ,
The mountains in Taiwan are beautiful. I’m amazed by them.

owshawng » i’m amazed by the too. i used to live where my header photo was taken, and our guest bedroom and office had a view of mountains that was unbelievable.
how’s things going with the ‘ILs?
thanks.
MJ. SIL is great, but she has returned to Taiwan.
CMIL has created tons of material for me. I need to take notes so I get everything. Another month with her and I can do a CMIL post a week for at least a year.

Carrie » you’ve seen it right? oh, maybe not in the daytime!
Nice work. Living in the driest city in Taiwan, I rarely get the heavy rains that clear the skies like that – got to wait for the typhoons. Although sunrise is often nice viewed from my kitchen or office window, looking out at the Central Mountain range.
cfimages » i want to come down there and see your place sometime Craig. i’m up for that walking tour too. soon i hope!
I miss taiwan!
Shan » Taiwan misses you too!
