Blog Cafe & Bar

Hui-Chen & I are in Tainan for the weekend, and we’ve been having a great time with the excellent cuisine here in this wonderful southern Taiwan city. Last night we stumbled upon the Blog Cafe & Bar, so naturally we had to drop in and check it out!

This is the Blog Cafe & Bar sign.

The place itself is a small, largely outdoor arrangement, with a staff that doesn’t take themselves too seriously.

Hui-Chen checks out the Hoegaarden Belgian beer (she is drinking green tea, not beer). Like many Taiwanese “pubs” (why Taiwanese use this British term and not “bar” like this place does its a mystery), they do not serve Taiwan Beer products. Of course, they have the usual varieties of piss, like Heineken, and (my favorite beer joke) Corona.

While not serving any hard liquor, the Blog Cafe & Bar is a nice place to hang out in the evening. Hope to see you there!
