My US$20 Tea Set!
Powered by IP2Location.com

This is an overview of the entire set, with the original gong-bei in the right rear corner. The tray is made from lacquered bamboo and is entirely waterproof. You pour out the hot water or tea right into the tray as necessary for teamaking and you clean it out later – very convenient. This type of tea tray has recently become popular here in Taiwan. I have seen several models, including a large box which holds the teaset for travel inside. Not shown is the toolset for measuring the tea, and for cleaning the pot. None of these items should ever be washed with anything except hot water! I did pay about US$20 for the set, not including the tea tray and the new gong-bei (with the white interior glaze).
