Last night Hui-chen and I came home to find more road work outside of our home. Here we see that the local DPW has dug a huge hole in the middle of the road.

This Week in Food: 1114

Dear Readers, it’s been awhile since we had a strictly food article, and week 14 of 2011 was an interesting one. So let’s get right into it!
Hui-chen and I had dinner at the Rainbow Restaurant in Hukou. That’s pork/garlic/basil on the right and fried egg Thai salad on the left.

I have one of those popular HD video recording cameras in my car. Whenever I’m driving I run the camera so it records the actions going on in front of my car. Here are a couple of still shots from a few days ago:
This one I like to call “the truck salmon” as he is on the wrong side of the road, driving against the flow of traffic. He’s trying to get back to the correct side of the road as quickly as possible. I came very close to him, as well as several other cars. Apparently it’s too much trouble to go with the proper flow of traffic up to the next intersection to turn around.
We Sold Our Blog!
We are happy to announce that Google Inc. has signed a deal to purchase our blog for an undisclosed amount. Google has hired Hui-chen and I as a writing team for the blog, so the content will be the same as always! Google, who owns Blogger, has embarked on a new project, aimed at preserving the last remaining personal blogs in existence, and since Hui-chen and I blog on our own life travels and experiences, we are on their list of blogs to preserve.
“These days, the blogosphere is clogged with a myraid of copied and re-post content blogs. Bushman’s blog is unique because it’s a window into the lives of 2 real people who are running their own business and traveling to exotic destinations and writing about it, but they don’t try to come off as experts on anything, and they’re not promoting an agenda” said Sonya Belanger, spokesperson for Google, and the person in charge of the personal blog preservation project. ”Their blog has an intimate and personal feel to it. That’s refreshing.”
