Day 3 found us up early and in the beautiful seacoast town of Gloucester, Massachusetts. The weather was perfect for what we had in mind that day. We began with a little ride around the town to see what it looked like, this being Hui-chen’s first time here.

Recently, the area where Hukou’s Monday night market is held began undergoing a major developmental project. The night market had to be moved to a new location in Hukou.
We parked a little bit far away from the new night market location and walked over to it. This is the scene at the entrance road – mayhem.

It’s been a very long time since we had an article about tea, and given the fact that tea is such an important part of daily life in Taiwan, it’s past due for us to present one to you. I’ll show you what we have at home for making oolong tea and serving our guests.
This is our cha-pan 茶盤 where we brew tea at home.

We awoke to a gorgeous day with a stunning sky. We found ourselves on Route 9 in the Framingham area of Massachusetts. First order of business was food. Hui-chen and I decided to try a Chinese restaurant on Rt. 9 called The Red Pepper.
