This Week in Food, we’ll be taking a look at what we had at Oath’s going away party.
First up, “mu s-tick” as the Thais say, or grilled pork on a stick. Not over cooked, just moist and juicy
While Mr. Oath plays some guitar for us, the dishes arrive.
And here they are. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Deep fried egg salad, Thai style. Just look at all those peanuts!
Famous “som tam” or papaya salad. This version was excellent!
“Mu kapau” or Basil-garlic pork – a Thai favorite. Just the right amount of spices too.
Now, add 2 plates of dried beef and a pot of soup and you have the complete meal!
“Tom yum” spicy Thai seafood soup. Always delicious, this soup goes very well with all types of Thai food.
This is one plate of the dried beef,
and this is the other! Notice the small pieces of fried garlic skin. This dish gets my mouth watering just looking at it!
Later, A-dong went down the road and got us some sliced “tempura.” Along with a few chicken pieces, this was an excellent end to a fantastic meal!
Our last shot is of the destruction…. Nothing survived!
