More Taiwanese Dumplings!

Food Photos by MJ Klein

I know it’s been awhile since we showed you any homestyle Taiwanese cooking. So, we’re going to make up for that right now! Hui-chen’s sister Hui-ling and her son were visiting. The sisters decided to do some cooking, so they made a ton of dumplings, including wontons.

Without any further delay, let’s get right into the photos!

Hui-chen adds grated ginger the old fashioned way – with a hand grater. I always cringe when I see her doing this!

Hui-ling also chopped cabbage as it takes quite a lot of cabbage for these dumplings.

You can’t just eat dumplings, so here we see the vegetables being cleaned.

Here is a shot of the dumpling skins. It’s a lot easier than making your own skins, but people still do make their own dumpling skins.

Hui-ling gets down to business and starts making them.
