I took this shot early this morning. The upper layer is relatively clear with blue sky showing, but the lower layers are rapidly moving and thick with rain clouds.
In the distance is the Taiwan Straight. I would not want to be out on a boat for the next few days!

in general, nowpublic is a good service. but, sometimes what people post isn’t all that relevant. to wit, there is a guy on Okinawa who keeps posting stuff about how Krosa almost hit Okinawa, the storm isn’t over yet, etc. etc., and was pushing the other relevant posts down the list each time he did that. it’s just dumb and a kind of grandstanding. so i make sure that what i post has some meaning – i.e. something actually happened.
